Trata-se de um dos ramos da f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmica que estuda as rela\u00e7\u00f5es existentes entre rea\u00e7\u00f5es qu\u00edmicas e a corrente el\u00e9trica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As rea\u00e7\u00f5es estudadas na eletroqu\u00edmica podem ser divididas em oxirredu\u00e7\u00e3o (oxida\u00e7\u00e3o e redu\u00e7\u00e3o), pilhas, baterias e a eletr\u00f3lise. Lendo sobre cada uma dessas rea\u00e7\u00f5es, voc\u00ea ter\u00e1 uma compreens\u00e3o mais aplicada sobre<strong> o que \u00e9 a eletroqu\u00edmica<\/strong>. Vamos l\u00e1?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rea\u00e7\u00f5es da eletroqu\u00edmica<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Para entender melhor e observar a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o da eletroqu\u00edmica no nosso dia a dia, confira abaixo como cada uma das rea\u00e7\u00f5es estudadas por esse ramo da f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmica funciona.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rea\u00e7\u00f5es de oxirredu\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A oxirredu\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 um fen\u00f4meno qu\u00edmico. Nele, h\u00e1 a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de energia el\u00e9trica a partir da ocorr\u00eancia da oxida\u00e7\u00e3o e da redu\u00e7\u00e3o de esp\u00e9cies qu\u00edmicas. Suas rea\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o caracterizadas pela perda e pelo ganho de el\u00e9trons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Oxida\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 a perda de el\u00e9trons.<\/strong> \u00c9 provocada pelo elemento chamado de agente oxidante.<\/li><li><strong>Redu\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 o ganho de el\u00e9trons.<\/strong> \u00c9 provocada pelo elemento chamado de agente redutor.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/JqRdSXg-hgxGYr45t0-rRkvMKK16hbgPRw9BcqPDKgIi4UPkpPVtbyyhFs7-UO6UvAFC9GT1Zmk7ZQDDXIV4mBtKIOKdd5zvMWm2mL6LyzRY6JWcyYZGkreQxEtQUYPuFcC4LZ26\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Em resumo, isso significa que, no processo de oxirredu\u00e7\u00e3o, ocorre a transfer\u00eancia de el\u00e9trons de uma esp\u00e9cie para outra.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quando um \u00e1tomo ou \u00edon recebe el\u00e9trons e tem a sua carga ou o seu n\u00famero de oxida\u00e7\u00e3o (Nox) diminu\u00eddo, dizemos que ele sofreu uma redu\u00e7\u00e3o. J\u00e1 a esp\u00e9cie que perde os el\u00e9trons sofre a oxida\u00e7\u00e3o, tendo o seu Nox aumentado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a\u00e7\u00f5es de oxirredu\u00e7\u00e3o est\u00e3o presentes no cotidiano, como na oxida\u00e7\u00e3o do ferro (quando forma a ferrugem), na redu\u00e7\u00e3o de min\u00e9rios met\u00e1licos para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de metais, forma\u00e7\u00e3o do a\u00e7o, corros\u00e3o de navios, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pilhas e baterias<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Em resumo, a <a href=\"https:\/\/museuweg.net\/blog\/pilha-de-bagdad-a-misteriosa-pilha-milenar\/#content\">pilha<\/a> converte <strong>energia qu\u00edmica em energia el\u00e9trica<\/strong> de modo espont\u00e2neo. Ela tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 chamada de c\u00e9lula eletroqu\u00edmica, \u00e9 composta por dois eletrodos e um eletr\u00f3lito. Nelas, a rea\u00e7\u00e3o de oxirredu\u00e7\u00e3o funciona por determinado per\u00edodo, fornecendo energia ao sistema at\u00e9 que a rea\u00e7\u00e3o qu\u00edmica se esgote e o dispositivo pare de funcionar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No entanto, as pilhas ou as baterias secund\u00e1rias s\u00e3o recarreg\u00e1veis e podem ser utilizadas diversas vezes. A corrente el\u00e9trica passa pela subst\u00e2ncia i\u00f4nica na fase l\u00edquida (fundida).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Um exemplo disso \u00e9 a eletr\u00f3lise do cloreto de s\u00f3dio (sal de cozinha) fundido, que produz o g\u00e1s cloro e o s\u00f3dio met\u00e1lico \u2013 este \u00faltimo \u00e9 t\u00e3o reativo que chega a explodir em contato com a \u00e1gua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eletr\u00f3lise aquosa:<\/strong> neste caso, temos \u00edons fornecidos pela subst\u00e2ncia dissolvida na \u00e1gua.
