Isto porque descobriu de maneira independente o campo magn\u00e9tico girante, um princ\u00edpio de funcionamento b\u00e1sico do motor de indu\u00e7\u00e3o. Al\u00e9m disso, foi professor, durante mais de vinte anos, de F\u00edsica Tecnol\u00f3gica, na escola de engenheiros de Turim, e tamb\u00e9m fundador da primeira Escola Superior de Eletrotecnia, na It\u00e1lia, em 1886.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Foi durante a Exposi\u00e7\u00e3o Internacional de Eletricidade de Turim em 1884, onde foi j\u00fari internacional, que examinou uma nova inven\u00e7\u00e3o &#8211; o transformador (\u201cgerador secund\u00e1rio\u201d). Iniciou seu trabalho de divulga\u00e7\u00e3o e investiga\u00e7\u00e3o te\u00f3rico-experimental sobre os problemas da aplica\u00e7\u00e3o dessa m\u00e1quina el\u00e9trica est\u00e1tica. Tendo percebido a import\u00e2ncia que a corrente alternada iria ter devido \u00e0 utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o do transformador, realizou no seu laborat\u00f3rio um conjunto de experi\u00eancias que fundamentaram o conceito de campo magn\u00e9tico girante, em 1885.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/museuweg.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/synchronous-motor_03a.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1026\" src=\"https:\/\/museuweg.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/synchronous-motor_03a.gif\" alt=\"synchronous-motor_03a\" width=\"400\" height=\"537\"><\/a><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Campo magn\u00e9tico girante trif\u00e1sico.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">O <\/span><b>campo girante<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u00e9 um <\/span><b>campo magn\u00e9tico<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> rotativo usado em m\u00e1quinas el\u00e9tricas. A maneira mais simples de obter um <\/span><b>campo girante<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u00e9 usar um \u00edm\u00e3 ou eletroim\u00e3 e faz\u00ea-lo rodar por qualquer processo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Galileo Ferraris preocupou-se com o problema da diferen\u00e7a de fase entre a intensidade de corrente el\u00e9trica prim\u00e1ria&nbsp; e secund\u00e1ria. Surgiu, ent\u00e3o, um fen\u00f4meno que se relacionou com seus estudos sobre \u00d3ptica. Como, naquela \u00e9poca a luz era considerada uma vibra\u00e7\u00e3o do \u00e9ter, e da combina\u00e7\u00e3o de duas vibra\u00e7\u00f5es em quadratura de fase resultava uma vibra\u00e7\u00e3o circular (luz polarizada), Galileo Farraris encontrou a forma de combinar dois campos magn\u00e9ticos em quadratura de fase para obter um campo magn\u00e9tico girante \u2014 campo magn\u00e9tico criado por uma estrutura est\u00e1tica, mas com os p\u00f3los rodando no espa\u00e7o em torno de um eixo, com uma velocidade constante.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Conseguiu realizar o campo magn\u00e9tico girante (el\u00edptico ou circular) com a composi\u00e7\u00e3o de dois campos magn\u00e9ticos alternados, criados por bobinas fixas colocadas em quadratura no espa\u00e7o, sendo cada uma percorrida por uma corrente el\u00e9trica alternada.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">S\u00f3 em 1888 comunicou sua experi\u00eancia \u00e0 Academia de Ci\u00eancias de Turim, onde refere-se \u00e0s formas laboratoriais de obter duas correntes el\u00e9tricas alternadas enfasadas entre si, a descri\u00e7\u00e3o de dois aparelhos eletromec\u00e2nicos que mandou construir e as considera\u00e7\u00f5es que as experi\u00eancias efetuadas resultaram em uma nova forma de <\/span><b>converter energia el\u00e9trica em mec\u00e2nica<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Seus estudos foram muito importantes para a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o em diversas tarefas, como a distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de energia em corrente alternada (divulga\u00e7\u00e3o do transformador) e transforma\u00e7\u00e3o imediata dessa forma de energia em energia mec\u00e2nica (motor do campo girante).
